The personal trainers at the Clif are independent contractors that form a team. Our core trainers have been training at the same gym for a combined 20 years. Personal training is not included in your gym membership. Any and all transactions are between members and member trainers who train at the Clif.
Meet the Clif Trainers
Staying home for the past 23 years and raising my 3 children has been a dream job. But, they are all grown now and I am fortunate enough to be able to pursue my long time dream of opening a fitness facility. I started working out with a personal trainer 20 years ago to get into shape and lose the baby fat and have never looked back.
Health and fitness are my passion and I am very excited about the opportunity to bring a unique gym that has been two years in the making to the OKC community. Our goal is to appeal to fitness minded people of every level and to offer an upscale gym with competitive pricing.
I am lucky to have surrounded myself with my team of core trainers who have been very committed and instrumental in helping me to achieve my goal and bring The Clif Fitness to reality.

I have been in the Health and Fitness industry for a little over 25 years. I am NASM certified and have my Athletic Training (Sports Medicine) license. I have a Masters of Education in Health, PE and Recreation and a Bachelors degree in Recreational Therapy with an Allied Health Administration minor.
I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2008 with my degree in health and exercise science. Since graduation, I have worked with a diverse group of individuals from varying backgrounds, ranging from 16 year old athletes to elderly clients with special needs. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), pursuing that certification with distinction, NPC Oklahoma judge, and a former national level bodybuilding competitor.
Josh has been in the health and fitness industry for over 15 years working with a wide range of clientele, from weight loss to muscle gain, from youths to rehabilitation. He is a nationally certified personal trainer with the International Sports Sciences Association and an APEX nutrition specialist. Josh attended Oklahoma State University studying Health Promotions and Exercise Science.

Growing up with a passion for dance is what inspired me to live an active life and eventually lead me to pursue a career in personal training. I received a degree in Communication with a minor in Enterprise Studies from the University of Oklahoma in 2017 and a few months later became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). I also have my Group Fitness Instructor certification through the National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA). You can find me teaching a few classes here at the Clif which include HIIT and Bootcamp.

After recognizing health issues in myself I decided to make changes in my professional and personal life. This is what lead me to take on personal training as a profession. I have in the past trained athletes and felt this was a better way for me to utilize my talents. This profession allows me to make healthier choices for myself and my family. Now I have a new way of helping others improve their lives. I hope to help others make the changes necessary in order to lead healthier and fuller lives.

JP is a Certified Personal Trainer through ISSA.
His knowledge comes from hands on experience over the course of his life. As a young athlete, he learned the value of body mechanics. As the father of a professional athlete, he has learned the value of sustained dedication and consistency. He strongly believes that patience, dedication and perseverance pay off in the long run because he has lived each of those things. Having had to realign himself late in life to a healthy lifestyle in both fitness and nutrition, he has been able to slash 85 lbs of excess fat, vastly increasing his energy levels and overall quality of life. An important focus on his fitness journey was shaping and maintaining a balanced and normal lifestyle.
His philosophy is “if you deny yourself, you will end up on the wrong side of where you want to be”. Through moderation and discipline, you can still experience all of life’s guilty food pleasures with moderation and diligence. He truly believes that everyone is capable of making the decision to lead a healthy lifestyle. Being a “foodie” himself, he has mastered the art of balance. He is more than happy to share his success with others and help teach them the necessary skills to success.
JP made a drastic career move this year by changing from Petroleum Engineering to Personal Training. He took on the role of the Office Manager at Clif Fitness in addition to providing specialized personal training sessions including nutrition and Herbalife supplements.
If he can make the change, so can you. Who better to understand where you are than someone who has been there!
Education and Background
Sonya Hamilton attended Oklahoma Baptist University where she received her nursing degree. She worked in numerous environments which include Baptist Medical Center, OU Medical Center, and Hospice Home Health.
Training Experience and Competition
Sonya is a NASM certified personal trainer, health coach, competition prep coach, and also provides meal prep service. She has 19 years of training experience and 9 years of competition experience. She is a top 3 national level figure competitor as well as a first place state level figure competitor.
Sonya trains a wide range and demographic with every training session prepared for each individual!
Group Fitness Instructor
My name is Carley, I am a NASM CPT, as well as a Gymnastics Coach and an adventurer enthusiast! I love challenging myself with different activities, but my current favorites are rock climbing, yoga, and lyra (aerial hoop!) I like to incorporate different things into my workout programs, challenge my clients, and have fun! Here at the Clif I teach Carley's Clif Camp which is a Cross Training group class that focuses on balance, toning, and strength.
